Boat only rental:  Whitewater kayaks may include float bags*.  I.K.'s come with a pump & repair kit* (* upon request)
Whitewater kayak package:  May include PFD, paddle, sprayskirt & helmet.  (paddling clothes such as drysuits, wetsuits & booties can be rented at a discount with boat rental). 
Touring & recreational kayaks:  May include PFD(s), paddle(s).  Touring kayaks may also receive a sprayskirt.  Paddle float and bilge pump are available in the deluxe package.
Inflatable kayak package:  May include PFD(s), paddle(s), pump, helmet(s)*, and repair kit*. (*upon request)

                                Rafts
Alpenglow Features Down River Equipment, and Aire rafts among others that are 13', 14', or 16' long. 
All whitewater rafts are self bailers!  Alpenglow has the nicest rental demo fleet in the State!

 

The Self Bailing Raft only includes pump and repair kit (by request). 

The Raft Paddle Packages include pump, repair kit (by request), up to 6 paddles and PFD(s)  (More can be rented for add'l charge).

The Raft with Day Frame Package includes Pump, Repair kit, day frame with 3 oars, up to 4 PFD's, and a cooler 

The Row Package includes pump, repair kit, frame w/ 3 oars (Sawyer C/B Oars, up to 4 PFD's cooler, dry box, and cam straps. 

The Deluxe Row Package which includes all Row Package items plus 2 of the following items:  60 user day groover, 2 large Watershed (4000-8000ci)dry bags, firepan, Drybox, Cooler, Dining fly (200sq ft), Rolla-table. Rolla-Cots(2), camp chairs(2), river couch (seats 3), Blaster with propane tank, 2.5gallon Sceptor water jugs(2).

                                                        Boise River rafts!

 

 

Boise River Raft Rentals:  

Alpenglow features rafts specifically for use on the Boise River.  These are 4-6+ person rafts that include up to 6 paddles & PFD's.   

The Boise River from Barber Park to Ann Morrison takes approximately 3 - 4 hours to float.

Recreational kayaks                         

These are the four-door sedans of the paddling world.  They are designed for casual use on flat water and are stable enough for fishing and photography.  Inexpensive, light and great for family use.  We even rent kayaks specifically built for kids under 100 lbs so they can join the fun!

Touring or Sea Kayaks             

Designed to cover a lot of distance in a short  amount of time.  Suitable for lakes, slow moving rivers and the ocean.  They have the ability to pack several days' worth of equipment.

Whitewater Kayaks

Short and nimble, but slow.  Whitewater boats are designed to turn on a dime.  Perfect for thrill seekers looking to paddle whitewater rivers, surf waves and hydraulics.  Takes time to get proficient.

 Sit-on-top models                        

These are for warm weather.  Bring your sunscreen!!! They are recreational in nature, but touring designs exist.  Fishing, sunbathing, exploring with kids on lakes and streams.  Perfect for the family float.

Tandem kayaks                         

Most styles of kayaks are available for two.  Double the fun! Once you get your teamwork down, these boats can move.  They are difficult to manage alone.   (For details and prices of these two person boats click on the specific type of kayak - Recreational, Touring, Sit-on-top, Inflatable.)
      

Inflatable Kayaks             

If you don’t have the time to learn how to whitewater kayak,  then inflatable kayaks are an excellent choice.  Wider and more stable than their hard shell counterparts, they are a great option to experience harder whitewater.  Inflatable kayaks are also very portable. 

Rafts                                       

The 18 wheelers of the paddling world.  Capable of holding lots of people or gear, they are perfect for the family float, all the way to multi-day expedition whitewater trips.

The Details and Fine Print on Rental Procedures

Lunch Break Rental:  (Kayaks only) Any boat rental up to 3 hours.  First come, first serve basis; no reservations will be taken.  Any time over three hours will be assessed an additional fee:  ($10 for boat only, or $15 for the package).  This is a great opportunity to take a boat to the Boise River for a demo!

Call in Sick Rental:  Same day boat rental. (example:  Pick up Tuesday evening before we close and return gear before we close on Wednesday.  Or pick up Wednesday morning and return Thursday morning.)  First come, first serve basis - no reservations will be taken.  Perfect for a day trip to Lucky Peak or the Payette River. 

The Weekend Pass:  Two day boat rental up to 48 hours.  (example:  Pick up Friday night within 1 hour of closing and return on Sunday evening before closing).

Long Weekend: Three day boat rental. (example:  Leave town Friday morning and return Sunday evening.)

4 Day Getaway: The ultimate weekend!  (example:  Pick up Thursday night up to one hour before closing, or Friday morning and return on Monday evening before closing)

Summer Vacation:  7 Days of bliss!  Let us provide the gear for the entire trip.  Maybe the Middle Fork of the Salmon, a trip to the Oregon Coast or Yellowstone.  We can help!

Reservations:   There is a two day minimum required to make any advance reservation.  A non-refundable deposit equal to one-half of the rental total is required at the time of the reservation.  If you know your pick up day and drop off day, as well as what package you are looking for, just call us up for prices and availability!  You can make your reservations in the store or over the phone at (208) 331-BOAT (2628) with a deposit on your major credit card.  Or email us at info@alpenglowidaho.com

Damage Deposits:  A fully refundable damage / loss deposit equal to 90% retail value is required at the time of pickup.  Damage deposits will consist of a personal check and credit card deposit of the renter.  An Alpenglow Mountainsport, LLC. Contract/liability waiver must be signed by the renter.
